Lawnmowers For Sale

The goal of this site is to provide helpful reviews on lawnmowers for sale. A dizzying range of lawnmower styles and options are available and it’s helpful to understand the options before making your choice. Some are battery powered and are ideal for smaller yards only. Others run on gas and can easily mow a large multi-acre estate. When shopping for your new mower, it’s important to figure out your needs so that you can match up the appropriate lawnmower for sale. Here are some examples and descriptions of the different types available:

Manual Reel Mower: This is the newest version of the oldest push-style mowers, but don’t confuse these with the antique versions. If you have a small yard and don’t mind some physical work, these mowers can work just fine. They are light weight and inexpensive to buy. They don’t have an electric or gas engine so the maintenance and cost of ownership is minimal. They won’t even pollute! While they cannot collect the grass clippings, they do cut them up very finely so that they can stay on the lawn and serve as a fertilizer.

Electric Mowers
: These are less work than a manual mower and can collect the grass clippings. Some must be connected by an extension cord to a household electricity source, while others have an internal battery that must be charged up before use. Some have both options for the ultimate in electrical flexibility. Since they use an electric motor, they are very quiet and won’t spew out pollution.

Rotary Power Mowers: These mowers use rotating blades powered by a gasoline engine to cut through the grass. While powerful, they also make a lot of loud noise and can put out a lot of smoke and pollution. They require more maintenance due to oil changes, air filters, etc. In some cases, they are self propelled which means that the mower will pull itself up a hill without requiring a lot of manual strength from the person operating it.

Riding Mowers: These mowers are typically gas-powered, and have a seat and steering wheels so that you can site down and drive the mower around. This is ideal for larger yard, and is probably too much for a smaller yard. They are quite a bit larger and can take up a lot of space when not in use. They are great for someone who may get exhausted by pushing a normal mower around the yard.
